The globe opens over McMurdo (77.8° S, 166.7° E) with the latest satellite clouds and rain radar, and McMurdo's place card open: its local time, current weather, sunrise and sunset, the Moon, and any alerts near it.
Below, as the page is served, are the alerts near McMurdo and which sources were checked for them, its weather now and over the next day, its air quality, then its day on its own clock (Antarctica/McMurdo): sunrise, sunset and the length of the day, golden and blue hour, the Moon's phase and when it's up, the coming week's sunsets, and the next full Moon and eclipses seen from McMurdo; then what might cross its sky.

How to read it
McMurdo Station, on Ross Island, is the largest base in Antarctica, reached from New Zealand. With no city lights or sunset for months on end, its year is one long day and one long night, with a few weeks of sunrises and sunsets between them.
McMurdo is so close to the South Pole that the Sun doesn't set at all from around October 24 to around February 19, circling the sky all day, and doesn't rise from around April 25 to around August 18.
Between those stretches, McMurdo's days change length faster than almost anywhere people live, by many minutes from one day to the next, and its golden light can last for hours with the Sun skimming the horizon.

This page gives McMurdo's US AQI as it's served, with the EPA's word for its band. It comes from Copernicus's CAMS forecast through Open-Meteo: a model for the area around McMurdo rather than a monitor's reading, so a station nearby can differ.
Are the southern lights ever visible from McMurdo?
Often, on a clear, dark night in McMurdo when the Sun's active, away from the city's lights. This page says what NOAA's OVATION forecast gives for McMurdo over the next hour or so.
