How to read it
Far above the Arctic Circle, Tromsø is one of the most reliable cities in the world for the northern lights, in season from September to March, when its nights are dark enough to show them. The Sun doesn't rise for about seven weeks around midwinter, though a blue twilight still lights the middle of the day. From May to July it's the other way around, and nothing dark is left to see an aurora against.
Tromsø lies so far north of the Arctic Circle that the Sun doesn't set at all from around May 19 to around July 26, circling the sky all day, and doesn't rise from around November 28 to around January 14.
Between those stretches, Tromsø's days change length faster than almost anywhere people live, by many minutes from one day to the next, and its golden light can last for hours with the Sun skimming the horizon.
Questions
What time is sunset in Tromsø today?
For months at a time there isn't one in Tromsø: the list on this page says so when the Sun stays up or stays down all day, and otherwise gives today's sunset on Tromsø's clock.
When is golden hour in Tromsø today?
The list gives Tromsø's morning and evening golden hours, when the Sun is low and its light warm and long-shadowed, and the blue hours just outside them, on Tromsø's clock.
When is the next full Moon in Tromsø?
The list gives the date and time on Tromsø's clock, with today's phase and when the Moon rises and sets there. It's full at the same moment everywhere on Earth, so what differs in Tromsø is only the clock and when the Moon is up.
Are there any alerts near Tromsø right now?

What is the air quality in Tromsø today?
This page gives Tromsø's US AQI as it's served, with the EPA's word for its band. It comes from Copernicus's CAMS forecast through Open-Meteo: a model for the area around Tromsø rather than a monitor's reading, so a station nearby can differ.
Are the northern lights ever visible from Tromsø?
Often, on a clear, dark night in Tromsø when the Sun's active, away from the city's lights. This page says what NOAA's OVATION forecast gives for Tromsø over the next hour or so.
